Here's the fantastic Spinners performing Ghetto Child with some re-enactments of what goes on in the hood.

The Spinners rate as one of the most fantastic groups along with The Temptations, The Four Tops, The Dramatics, The OJays, The Stylistics, The Whispers, The Intruders, Harold Melvin and The Blue Notes, and The Delfonics. They were apart of the golden age of classic soul groups who mesmirized us with their dances, energy, and love songs.

It's Ashame, Rubberband Man, Mighty Love, Could It Be I'm Falling In Love, I'll Be Around, Mighty Love, One of a kind Love Affair, Ghetto Child, Sadie, How Could I Let You Get Away, Then Came You, Games People Play, Love Don't Love NoBody, were among their biggest hits, making them the premier group of the 70's.

Great song. Terrible camera work. After the first few lyrics, the camera goes on the audience and then a long shot. Bad, bad...BUT GOOD, GOOD, GREAT song. :) Thanks for posting.

As far as the audience: check out the other videos from this show. There are black folks in the audience. Imagine you'd get the same blank looks when black people attend a taping of a country show.

rap is raw in comparison to black 70´s music. The spinners soul style is so decent, it has a magic that´s very hard to be equalized by today´s singers.Rap is just words thrown ( several times without the same feelling), many of them talk about futile subjects, addict to material welfares, erotic things. Many rappers use nicknames as their stage names and non-standard english. They have less decorate than soul groups of the 70´s. We want this beautiful soul style back to media.say no to corny music!

The brilliance of Phillipe's voice was evident on their recordings, but he was magical LIVE. People can't sing like this these days.

Uh....no. They're trying to show, through visualization, the hardships ghetto youth have to overcome. I guess people no longer want entertainment like this. Put some hoes and money-throwing on stage, you probably wouldn't have been confused, huh? Lol..Smh
