This was Capitol's cover of Columbia's hit recording by Percy Faith and Felicia Sanders. June went to high school about five minutes from where I am writing this comment, Hyde Park High School in Chicago. I always thought this arrangement was missing an ending. June replaced Jo Stafford with the Pied Pipers and before that sang with the Stardusters. Her sister Ina Ray fronted a famous all-lady orchestra that was not a gimmick but a really find aggregation.

June and Ina Ray Hutton were predominately white and entitled to be called whites. They were far from "half black."

The version I remember on the radio in 1953 was by Percy Faith with Felicia Sanders doing the vocals. I've never heard of this version before.

You should be proud of them, June was a beautiful and talented lady. I think her version of "Dream A Little Dream Of Me" is sublime.
