THE SICK ONES -- Randy Rampage (bass,vocals), Brad Kent (guitar), Zippy Pinhead (drums) -- re-unite for a rocking show of west coast hardcore punk performing one of my all-time favorite tunes, Negative Trends' "Black & Red". It brought back great memories of seeing Negative Trend at Vancouver's Quadra Club in the summer of 78 when Craig Gray (guitarist, songwriter) broke SEVERAL of his guitar strings in one fell strum with the intensity of his playing. Strangely enough...while Randy, Brad & Zippy were onstage tonight at Vancouver's Biltmore, both Negative Trend and The Avengers were also onstage tonight playing a reunion show in San Francisco at the Fillmore.
