I like this more than primal because they use more of the original lyrics from the 13th Floor Elevators. Elevators is without question the best version.

I adored this as a teenager, but it's basically Rattlesnakes by Lloyd Cole with only slightly less pretentious lyrics. Have Primal Scream done a single thing that isn't a pastiche or homage?

Better than Primal Scream's butchery, but that ain't saying much. This is probably a song nobody should bother trying to cover, the original is so perfect.

Well its vastly better than the Primal Scream version, I'll say that much for it.

Awesome tune! Been a Shamen fan since the early 90's - never heard this one until now. How could i have missed this?

I knew this was first. Sounds like PS though. Perhaps why PS took it. I don't care what PS do or did, though. I could rarely stand them (however good a couple of their Weatherall tunes sounded in clubs mixed in among a great list - before that stuff annoyed me also).
I always used to see The Happy Mondays as funny but too catty, because to me much of what they did was taking the p*** out of Primal Scream, intentionally. HMs were a great live act though.

Love the Shamen but this is dire. As is Primal Scream's version. There are some songs that CANNOT be covered, and this is definitely one of them!

I used to like this, it's was and is good, slower acid house. Actually, I loved it at times. Only made of course because the title has the word "house" in it. The vocal sounds a bit too like Primal Scream for comfort, though - unfortunate - they not cool.

Been looking for this for ages, thanks for uploading!

not too bad but it does shamelessly rip off the Steve Silk Hurley mix of 'Uh Uh Oh Look Out' by Roberta Flack

Primal Scream was just drek. THis is about the same, maybe just an updated disco sense of the party atmosphere of an Elevator's concert without any of the socio-religious hoopla they successfully inculcated. I can't imagine PS or Shamen getting suppressed by London cops.
