It was because this song was recorded later. There were two recording sessions one in 1968 & one in 1975 by which time band had improved in their playing. As for the singer to me she sounds like a Japanese person using English.

Unfortunately, it seems the drummer learned to keep time in between their first album and this. Much of the charm is lost.

I don't know that much about the band, but does the singer have down syndrome? Or like are they slow or something...That probably came off meaner than I intended, I really like the song though...it's something special to me, REALLY! =)

@TheKifrob yeah seriously, and beyond that this would be terrible music to listen to while tripping. That being said I'm a fan of their purity, by how undaunted they are by intellectualism of any form.
