* No matter what the season

We two can be together

I offer you a true love

From now until forever **

When the march winds blowing warm

Cause the rivers to flow

When the grass turns very green

When birds return once more to sing

When all the world is filled with spring

Then I will bring to you a true springtime love

When the sun shines oh so hot

That it scorches the land

When you're burning with the heat

Sands on fire beneath your feet

When you're a-thirst for kisses sweet

Then I will bring to you a true summer love

When the tired leaves of brown

tumble down from the trees

When a chill is in the air

When shades of silver tint your hair

Depend on me, for I' ll be there

And I will bring to you a true autumn love

When the snow falls to the ground

When the deep rivers freeze

When our hands turn very cold

When love once young grows very old

There' ll still be words of love untold

And I will bring to you a true winter love (Repeat * )

This song was played at my parents memorial service. Their love for each other never waned and they had been married 57 years. When Dad left us 4 years later the service was for both of them and this song could have been written just for them. I have never seen 2 people more in love than my parents.

Love this song so much by the way I have a little wonder of this phrase..."Sands on fire beneath your feet" ...I listened to it many times and what I heard was............ The sands on "pile" beneath your "peat"....even now still confused , please kindly bring me out from the confusion. Sorry for my stupid. Thank you.

Thank you UncleAmm for uploading! If we could only learn to do those beautiful lyrics of autumn........"Depend on me, for I'll be there," and of winter........."There'll still be words of love untold." No matter what the season - any song by Ed Ames is the best!
