No way Mike Pender's group matches the Searchers. Pender's vocals aren't so great any more and he's not as versatile a guitarist as is McNally. Frank Allen is a better bassist and showman than whoever Pender gets to play bass (personnel changes are frequent). The Searchers create a better harmony out of cohesiveness and having McNally ensures the guitar jangle sound of the '63-'67 Searchers is preserved for our listening pleasure.

Good, but not as good as Mike Penders Searchers. Mike is more true to the genuine Searchers sound, plus he is the sound of the Searchers. Mike doesnt have any elctrical gadgets like Spencer James uses.

The disco beat thing is only during the medley. They play all of those songs individually through the show. This, I think, is just an upbeat type of finale. I saw a show live and it was great! Gonna see them again in fact...
