The Saw Doctors are one of the most successful bands ever to come out of Ireland. Taking their name as a title of false importance, The Saw Doctors have built up a cult following in their homeland where they have 18 top 30 hits including 3 #1 singles. They have also built a loyal following in the UK and in the United States. They held the record for Ireland's biggest-selling single of all time, "I Useta Lover,"[1] which topped the Irish charts for nine weeks in 1990.

To be away in Oz and to hear this song would have made my night. I live in London and when the Docs come to London its always a session. This band will mean so much more now there are more Irish going to Oz. Up Mayo and Galway. Up the West and all from the West know the rest. ha ha ha ha10 years ago

Well this song was out years ago and I remember falling off the trailer when bringing in Hay. This song is a piss take and its pure daft. its about the summer, wanting a pint on a hot day. The wasp on the sandwich. You always got called in for tea and sandwiches when bringing in hay at your house or a neighbours home. This captures a time of a West of Ireland summer. It brings back so many memories going into the pub on way to collect hay and then dropping off. That how we did it.10 years ago
