Personally i don't like this song. But the lyrics are refering to somebody we all know.Acording to Wikipedia:"Sweet Neo Con" is a controversial song from the 2005 Rolling Stones album A Bigger Bang.

The song became the focus of media scrutiny due to featured lyrics such as:

" You call yourself a Christian; I think that you're a hypocrite; You say you are a patriot; I think that you're a crock of shit "

Singer Mick Jagger initially denied the song's lyrics were aimed directly at U.S. President George W. Bush. In a September, 2005 interview with Rolling Stone magazine when he was asked "Who are you singing to?", Jagger replied, "I don't want to overexplain it. But it is very direct. During the presidential election, I was asked by the New York Daily News which side I was on. I said it's not polite to take sides in foreigners' elections. But we're not in an election now." Keith Richards was more cautious - "I didn't want this to be a diversionary storm, I thought potentially it would detract attention from the rest of the album and be seen as cheap publicity. We don't need that. But I told Mick, 'If you really feel like you want to say that, I'll back you all the way.'"

The song itself was primarily a Jagger composition, with Jagger performing vocals, harmonica, bass, and guitar with Richards, and with Charlie Watts on drums.

And another thing.. The song isn't controversial at all, it's straight to the point!

Of course it's about the entourage around Bush. Bush was just too stupid. Just a puppet on a string. Just as Obama is.

Mick has said in Interviews that this song was NOT meant for Bush. You liberals always LIE like a dog.Mick said it's just a song.

Since he's recently criticized Obama for continuing the Bush Policies, perhaps he just realizes the left-right paradigm is a charade and both parties work to deceive us.

Christ, they obviously brought John Bonham back from the dead for this song. That's his drum sound. Spooky.

If Fox News uses this song on their network, as long as they play the part where Mick asks "How come you're so wrong, my sweet neo-con?"....

Actually, it applies to every single one of those do-nothing tools running our nation into the ground trying to impeach a president they don't like 'cause he's black. The song fits, and in 2014, the Republican Party will find out just how wrong they truly are, when they begin 2015 not impeaching Obama, but being investigated for their own fuck-ups.

Wikipedia has a rather detailed page on Neoconservatism - What the Bush administration did for the USA's world standing was second only to what the Bushies did to the world's economy with their SEC ruling (wild party!) in 2004. The pendulum swings, but after the way the Right alienated women and Hispanics this election, we may not see the return of Neoconservatism for a loooooooooooooooong time. Mick was a bit ahead of the electorate on this.

This song should show Americans who don't believe that the US was messed up before 2009 that other countries don't understand how we could vote for people who support George Bush Jr. ideas. Not that I am completely in favor of Obama's ways, but if I had a choice between the actions that this refers to and Obama's ideas, I would not hesitate at all to choose Obama. Americans have become ignorant, and that is how this country got so screwed.
