If there isn't a cigarette in Keith's mouth, there a bottle of Jack in his hand.......

Rolling Stones rehearsing prior to the '72 American tour. Great blues jam with Keith, Mick Taylor, Charlie, Bill and Ian Stewart. The Rolling Stones - Jam Session (Studio Live in 1972)

It's no wonder Charlie got throat cancer. Damn 1:52

People forget Keith did most of the leads on LIB...he could, if he wanted to have, become a lead, but he is the KIng of Rhythm and Taylor the god of leads in the "Golden Era",,,no one better.

The band were really hot in 1972 - they'd been touring endlessly at that time. Battle hardened

Any one like me trying to piece the videos together in pro shot? I have the whole show but want to add better sound to the visuals.

I think it is a session where Charlie shows his real Jazzy side. I'm sad Taylor doesn't play more solos, but Keef is the man, that's for sure!

??? The2mel, Keef is the riff master. Anybody can hash out blues progressions. It takes serious talent to write timeless riffs. Keef wrote perhaps a hundred timesless riffs, Taylor just played the chords that Keef told him to play.

When these guys were first touring the States, they got to see many of their idols, plus some of the best country and soul bands going in the golden era of each of those musical forms. These guys are like the last of the witnesses, the living link to that era.

Where's the rest of this? The part where Mick Taylor's (the best guitarist of his generation) incredible solo proves beyond a doubt what an pseudo-auteuristic neophyte Keith is. The latter is also obviously jealous of Mick Taylor's otherworldly virtuosity as anyone can plainly see.

Exactly! I put Charlie right there at the top...and nobody gets it. They'll say "Charlie Watts? Uh have you ever heard Bonham or Moon?" don't get me wrong, I enjoy both drummers, but Charlies perfection, timing, swagger, and subtle style of playing the drums outways any durmmer ever.
