The Rolling Stones "Gimme Shelter" guitar lesson. Today we're using the Diamond Tremolo to reproduce the chilling stutter and laid back groove from Keith's guitar. The Diamond Tremolo has a tapered square waveform available that gives the effect a special asymmetrical wobble, something standard sine wave tremolos won't do. The first key to getting the tone in Gimme Shelter is the Open E tuning, which allows for easy suspended and one finger chords. Actually, there are only 3 main chords (C#,B,A) in this tune but Keith Richards add so much variety in each measure that you could spend all day figuring out the subtle changes of notes and accents. Finally, the key to getting the right groove is to match the song's beat with a double pulse of the tremolo (1-2,1-2,1,2...), a simple task when using the Diamond Tremolo's tap tempo feature. So, tune up and enjoy your riff of the day guitar lesson!

Very accurate -For the intro, - the very beginning of the song, up until Jagger's vocal starts - It sounds like Keith isn't using a pick, but plucking the strings.I could b wrong - but its how I play it.
