*(DON'T) GIVE ME THAT OLD-TIME(R) ROCK AND ROLL*Back in 1978, 16 years into their career, the Rolling Stones released Some Girls, which at the time, everyone considered as a comeback record. For Some Girls, the Stones had learned much from the New York Dolls and The Heartbreakers, a band formed by ex-New York Dolls Johnny Thunders and Jerry Nolan. The Stones released Doom and Gloom in 2012, 34 years after the Some Girls sessions. In perspective, most thought the Stones were washed up 16 years into their careers. More than twice as many years have passed since then. The Stones should have quit or split up in 1978. Everything they have released since has been an ever weaker photocopy of songs from Some Girls going forward. Doom and Gloom seems no exception. For those Stones fans who disagree, if they only would listen to the old Sun Record recordings from the mid 1955s, they might hear reality. The Stones never really understood rock and roll, a purely American thing. Luckily, the Rolling Stones had a productive period between 1968 and 1972, mostly fueled by guitarist Mick Taylor. At least in those days, they were respectable. As for Doom and Gloom, this doesn't soothe the soul. #rollingstones #rocknroll #newyorkdolls #theheartbreakers #johnnythunders

Noomi is getting way too little attention for this! Playing every character in a video like this is no easy feat. Go Noomi!
