Is there really anything to say about this band that hasn't already been said a million times? "Mick and Keith ran into each other at a train station……then Brian Jones died….Altamont was terrible….then they went to France and were decadent…blah blah blah".

Mr.Jagger. You can not wear a wig and not expect people to not notice ever in a wind.

Bullshit, man...Keith is being Keith, as usual. He may well not make it through a long tour but Mick has gone on the record as saying that he'd prefer the band actually not do one anyway. After a while, it gets boring and you need to keep it fresh.

Charlie called it right: Keith just always looks happy to be playing in whatever bar he winds up in. Something like this must strike him as a little ridiculous.

Yeah, now that it's actually safe for them to be here. Read the first chapter of Keith's autobiography "Life" and you'll know that wasn't always the case.

You kidding me? The only thing I ever got out of Keith was the same thing I got out of the death of Princess Diana: indifference. That's a long way from support.

Charlie has never been much for interviews. I offer up the extended bit of him getting interviewed in the '60s in "Shine A Light" as Exhibit A for that argument.

He and James Bond are the only two British guys that every American male wants to be.

I've listened to others talk about John Lennon and they would be the first to tell you how full of shit HE could be. Keith even went so far as to say that most of it was bluff. The Stones came from a more pure blues background than the Beatles. No way in hell you can convince me that the Beatles ever came up with anything along the lines of "Brown Sugar", "Street Fighting Man", or "Midnight Rambler".

How is it any different than what Mick and the boys have been dealing with for the last five decades or so? By this point, I imagine this part of things is just second nature.

Which isn't too say that there was that much animosity between the two camps. Both of them came up in a lot of the same crappy clubs and there was actually a lot of contact between them. Both of them would time their respective releases to make sure that they wouldn't be stepping on any toes.

Indeed not...I always find it funny. On the surface, you'd think that they'd just be going through the motions and everything. But then you see a clip from "Shine A Light" and all that thinking just goes right out the window. The only rock'n'roll band to survive the 20th Century.
