I'd say at the very least they are equal to Muse but it's hard to compare because they focus on such wildly different genres. As another Yank I have to say The Rifles are better than almost all bands from the States. Brits just know how to make great rock music :D

Its beyond me how this band isnt bigger than they are. Granted I'm American and I love these guys. I can see maybe in the states because they might be too "British" but that no excuse. They're way better than Muse, Arcade Fire or One Republic. Definitly the best band I've heard in the past 5 years.
