Isn't that Whipper Layton from Double Trouble on drums? Why isn't the drummer's name mentioned?

Regardless of this being a cover, the lyrics and the voice, etc.; make for a really campy sounding tune. Not having heard the original. THIS song sucks. Great musicians and much respect for their abilities. This isn't the first time a "supergroup" has put out trash and everyone praises it.

It "thrills me to the marrow" that these guys would cut a cover of a proto-punk classick and completely piss off their totally square audience! And I'm old enough to remember this song when it was new (1973).

Good singin', good playin', but geez, couldn't they have found a better song to jam out on? (Full disclosure: I am not a Stooges fan, but loved CSN[&Y].)

For the ones complaining about the lyrics, this is a cover of a Stooges song. You can't blame Stills for a song he didn't write. They're just having a bit of fun and paying respect to another great artist.

i am a huge CSN&Y fan + have always admired. Stills guitar virtuosity. i just heard about this band yesterday, for the first time - and i have 2 say, I like them.

Don't understand what the problem is, I love it. Been a Stills fan for 40 years!

To each his own. I require more of poetry than a jumble of unrelated words and the occasional haphazard rhyme at the end of a line. A story line and linear meaning would be good. :-/ This is just a jumble of nonsensical words selected only for pseudo-drama. And the kids say "yay"? BIG DEAL! Those of us that know the history of the lyrical mastery that these guys are capable of (particularly Stills) say: "it just doesn't 'cut' it"...it might have energy: but it SAYS nothing. Stephen caved in.

Just getting back to you...I did finally get around to reading that Huffington Post article you referenced...it actually was a pretty enjoyable article...quite lengthy (would have been interesting to see in video)...the banter between these guys was pretty interesting... love Still's self-effacing humor...and I did catch his remarks about some ambivalence about this song. I'm in agreement with him there...but remain a huge fan of all three of these guys...hope they do well with this album.

Meh! LOL Who the Hell is Mike Bowling..and since when does anybody need his permission to post an opinion on YouTube? I don't give a shit what you think of me..and you obviously have NO awareness of my music knowledge base. Clearly the person I was chatting with knows where I was coming from...and by all appearances: so does Stephen Stills himself. BTW: that conversation did not involve YOU so who needs ya'? I come from a generation that expects MORE from music...including meaningful lyrics.

Duh..if you wanted to reply to me..you COULD have attempted a link to the thread. BIG DEAL!! I meant every word I said: no matter WHO did the song first. If YOU knew anything about Iggy, you would also know he was NOT a noble guy that should be emulated (since you brought it up.,.YOU should get a clue and some historical FACTS). On balance this is NOT a "great song"...lyrics ARE part and parcel of the song...and the lyrics aren't up to par for this level of talent. Stills knew it, too. PERIOD!

I think your a weird-o for not liking Iggy..... you know nothing about music!

I guess you are a blond (blondwiththewind) This is a cover of an old Iggy and The Stooges song. A rock/punk classic. Check your history before you make stupid comments about song structure and lyrics.
