@Darkclaw86 later, this three Genres where put together with a new modern form, the Hellelectro (also known as Aggrotech) in the collective neme Electro to delimitated from the technoscene. You see this is not so easy, because the modern electronic music, which is often called Industrial, has realy nothing or such minimal to do with the origin. Electro as genre term is much more precise.

@xrunxnowx eehh nope (Post-)Industrial, exist since the 70ths, where was electronic elements new in the music. Later in the 80ths, as result of Industrial, Electro-Wave and Synth-Punk, EBM was born. Then during the 80ths, when EBM goes back to his Industrial-roots, Hardcore-Electro, Dark-Electro and Electro-Industrial comes as new forms in electronic music,

@Darkclaw86 I see, and you have a point. But now-a-days most people just view Industrial (and Electro-Industrial) as an umbrella term. While I don't totally agree with this, I've accepted that it's a lot easier than creating hundreds of sub-genres, as electronic music is very diverse.

@user89076 Thats not quite correct, Aggrotech (=Hellelectro) and Electro-Industrial are two independent styles inside the Electro-Genre. But Hellelectro were formed out of Electro-Industrial and Hardcore-Electro, the different is, Hellelectro is technoid, the others not! ;-)

@xrunxnowx Wrong, Industrial isn't a Subgenre, Industrial is the Head- or Supra-Genre or however it called. EBM, Noise, Electro, Rythm' n' Noise are the childs of it.
