Sixteen Blue

Hut..yeah..c'mon

Drive yourself right up the wall

No one hears and no one calls

It's a boring state

It's a useless wait, I know

Brag about things you don't understand

A girl and a woman, a boy and a man

Everything is sexually vague [an awkward phase?]

Now you're wondering to yourself

If you might be gay

Your age is the hardest age

Everything drags and drags

One day, baby, maybe help you through

Sixteen blue

Sixteen blue

Drive your ma to the bank

Tell your pa you got a date

You're lying, now you're lying on your back

Try to figure out, they wonder what next you'll pull

You don't understand anything sexual

I don't understand

Tell my friends I'm doing fine

Your age is the hardest age

Everything drags and drags

You're looking funny

You ain't laughing, are you?

That solo sounds like a saxophone.... Amazing

Yes, it's such a perfect song in that it perfectly captures awkward teenage blues from the lyrics to the tentative guitar break then Bob's chilling solo outro. Amazing.

Beautiful aching guitar from Bob at the end. Just a perfect song. 3:35 to the end.

James if you mean that you should call talk to a therapist immediately if you have one, and if you feel like you're going to do something to hurt yourself call 1800 784-2433 immediately or get yourself to a hospital or call 911.

This basically describes my life for the past 5 years. Has shown no sign of getting better. By the time anybody reads this comment I'll probably be dead.

Change "sixteen" to "twenty one" then this song describes my life

That guitar solo is incredible. Nobody else would have thought to do it that way. Bob Stinson was a great guitarist. R.I.P. Bob.

Not really impressed with whoever did this remastering... overly compressed and flat, it needed opening up, not compressed tightness. If this was done by the studio, shame on them, and hopefully Paul didnt do it LOL

@mskcouric I disagree! They help to better appreciate the songs!

These remasters sound like shit.

Actually hurts to listen to this, it so perfectly captures that feeling of teenage confusion and isolation.

@jamaral81 Bob is playing that feedback drenched solo... and it is justice at 3:35

Who is playing the guitar solo at the end, Bob or Paul? Paul actually played killer solos himself, like The Ledge for example

Bobby's guitar at 3:35 is... sublime
