Okay, like 8 people have corrected me here. I apologise for my supposed ignorance - i will clarify that i was speaking as a singer here. I've heard of most of the people i've been told are "jazz prog", however, these are almost all cases of prog singers with a jazz band - as such, there's a whole aspect of jazz that is missing from this genre. Kindo's difference is that they have a jazz singer, and this is what i meant. I apologise for being cryptic.

Maybe you've already been corrected, but god damn. No such thing as a "jazz prog"? Ever listen to Return to Forever? Jean Luc Ponty? Mahavishnu Orchestra? How about more modern ones - Impact Fuze, for example. Plenty of "jazz prog" out there.

I usually listen to jazz and prog but also bands like Style Council and Steely Dan are my favourites. The Reign of Kindo has them all!

Yea I love that part at 2:47 with.. not only is it a 5-bar phrase.. But one of 5/8, one of 6/8 and ten three of 5/8 and it sounds so fluid.. These guys are great :p

Yeah, the post-chorus sections are three bars of 7/8 and two of 5/8. Most of it is 5/8. There's a bar of 6/8 in that super cool phrase that starts around 2:47 as well.
