On the anniversary of Joey's passing thought I'd share this again. Notice the year--1974 for God's sake. Anyone who doesn't think the Ramones were the first punk band (I'm not talking proto punk here) please watch this. Joey was a real sweetheart the few times I met him and is still in hearts all over the world. I left a comment on this post one year ago about my experiences seeing the Ramones.

Eles responderam: "temos essa música sendo preparada: I Wanna Snif Some Glue"... (Eu Quero Cheirar uma Cola) Suuuuper positivo! kkkkkkkkk Veja é curta esse momento raro no templo do punk rock

The argument in the middle is hilarious! I laughed my ass off. After the show Johnny was probably like "don't look at me, don't talk to me, and fuck the lot of you." Hahahaha!

Who would have known Joey would become one of the greatest front men in rock. I always think of it like a comic book coming to life every time I watch him. He was a character that's for sure

40 friggin years ago...I was one of those freakish dudes who was in high-school at the time in Dearborn MI, and had Iggy Pops dad (Ray Osterberg) as my home-room teacher. I was the only white guy who knew who Iggy was, and dug him and was proud to have his dad as a teacher. Me & me pal Perry were the only ones brave enough to admit we dug the Stooges and to some degree Kiss. We thought (dreamed) of starting a band. Perry had the Joey look and me...the Johnny/Iggy Pop look(Minus the Right-Wing sh!t Johnny is all about)...if only we had made it out to NYC or had the internet way back then. It took a few years for me to discover The Ramones, but them and Patty Smith and D.O.A. and others, back in 1978 changed my life forever, thank god.

I was born in 1990. While growing up I did not like music. All the kids were singing spice girls and all that crap and people would ask me what kind of music do I like and I would say I don't like music. People didn't get it. Then during the late part of elementary and middle school I began to discover music. Rock n Roll, Classic rock, surf rock, metal, and punk rock. I fell in love with music. Then I really started to find out who I was. I wasn't born during that era but I do appreciate what they brought to the world for people like me to associate with.

It's just like I read in Johnny's book. There even arguing about what songs to play.
