Dottie, Reba and Buck Rambo compose the gospel trio, The Rambos. Dottie penned most of the songs the group sang. They were very popular in the 1960's, 1970's and 1980's. Many hymnals today include songs written by Dottie. The trio were pacesetters in gospel harmony, inverting harmony as necessity when the melody got too high for the lead singer. This way of singing had not usually been done before The Rambos. Today it is done all the time. "He Looked Beyond My Fault" was one of the Rambos most well-known songs.

Dottie wrote every song since age 13 or so. Her father said if it's not country, you leave the house. So she left.

Love this song! He sure looked beyond my faults and saw in me something I couldn't see. Thank you Lord for saving me from myself and loving me enough to turn my life around.

My first time hearing this song I just got out of jail this morning I read the rambos book in there and wanted to see and hear them sing. Its a good song I'd say.

This song brings me back to the day that I gave my heart over to the Lord! He really did look beyond my faults and saw my need.

This is my favorite song of all time. It reminds me that our Heavenly Father looks at us through eyes of love. it does not matter what we've done, how we look, what nation we are from, the color of our skin, our gender, or how much money we have. He looks us with a fathers love.

Thanks for posting this video. It takes me back in time. I was a big Rambo fan in those days. I sure hate Dottie had to leave us.

Absolutely beautiful. The greatest harmony I every heard. Love the Rambos. Got to share the stage with them when Patti Carpenter was singing with them. I was with a group and we fronted the Rambos. The most exciting day of my life.
