Like those offbeat lyrics---and that country with a little gospel flavor in their music---I need to start looking for their music, too.

Well noticed ... but they still Are huge, and , leaving wailing to wailers, how can yuh say people "will never even ..." : instead, why dont we fight back , and have those listened , and beheld, starting around us , comrade ?

I agree with many of their fans. They should have been HUGE. Somehow it didn't happen. Massive bummer. Seeing them live is still amazing though. Saw them at an outdoor show in St. Joseph, MO. Still worth hearing and seeing.

Wonder if anyone else remembers when these guys played out at Smithville Lake years back? What an awesome time it was, so much fun!!

They should have been huge...EMI f@cked them over...first by insisting on adding the Memphis Horns and then by making Bob wear all the makeup...

The Rainmakers should have been huge.....i cant believe how few people have viewed theyre videos, one of the most talented sonwriters, and they never went nuclear so sad that most people will never even hear these songs

Thank you for posting this. I was able to see them in concert at the Chester Fritz at UND back between the first album and Snakedance (so I remember this song live). Fantastic songs from a talented band.

Very much an example of the timeframe it was released. Great song! Bob Walkenhorst is absolutely the greatest songwriter/performer period.....He really is as talanted as Lennon/Mccartney......Dylan.....Petty. Really cool to hear these Early Rainmaker songs stripped down and performed by Bob live. KC folks have the fortune to see him every Wed. at the Record Bar in Westport. Thank you Bob. I'm a Beatles fanatic and you've earned your place in history Mr. BW. On your terms!!!

Man- Dave and Eddie got back together for a tour and even Zep did a show but I would really love to see the Rainmakers tour again. I saw them in Appleton Wisconsin in like 1987 or so. Excelent show and absolutely one of the best I ever saw.
