Here is the third episode of the quest for tone. This one is about my Marshall DSL100 from the JCM2000 range. This is my main amp for gigging and videos and is an absolute tone beast. There are short clips of each channel on this video but for many other sounds such as ACDC tones and malmsteen tones check out my other tone videos on my channel.

For this video i used my trusty STOCK Chapman ML1 as usual mostly using the bridge humbucker. The Cabinet used is a stock angled 1960 lead connected in a 16ohm format. The was set with everything around half with the treble and presence rolled back a bit to 3 or 4. Gain was on half for everything and volume was at about 2.

Its a quality amp like all marshalls and its loud as hell!!!

Stay posted for more videos of tones and some other participation videos that i would like your help on!

Cheers for watching :)

Crunch bottom end wasn't cutting thru, maybe wasn't EQed for it?Like a Hendrix rhythm, full sounding, I heard a dry muddy tone. Also I assume its a newer model (not seeing the year in the description) made in Vietnam, heard there's a difference...No disrespect intended but there's a lot of misinformation on YouTube

I watched your video about picking techniques, and you stated in your video that you never anchor your right hand but in this video you clearly do on the blues type licks

The high-gain channels on my DSL2000 sound much thinner...I only use the channel A crunch setting. Seems to work better with pedals, too. I've tried a zillion pre-amp tubes and still can't get the red channels to sound any good.
