I hate when people treat hardcore punk as the beginning and end all of punk, and everything else was influenced by it or just isn't punk. Then they call bands like the Queers or SW "pop-punk" or "Ramones-core". This is true punk rock! This how it's always been. Even the UK bands were highly influenced by this stuff. I love Black Flag as much as the next person, but people need a serious reality check as to where this all originated.
