The Quakes - A major force of the 1980s Psychobilly scene, filmed at the 'Night Of The Long Knives' event in Birmingham in 1988 - one of the earliest all-day Psychobilly fests.

The band established themselves at London's Klub Foot (ref: 'Stompin' At The Klub Foot'), despite The Quakes having to make their way from the U.S. of A.

The band had it's own take on Psychobilly, expanding the diversity of the genre and contributing to the scene with some memorable recorded output and countless crazed live performances just like the ones on this film. The Quakes are now widely considered to be among the most influential bands of 80s and 90s Psychobilly, and despite never achieving anything like mainstream success, will retain their cult status as the genre evolves and new bands continue to spread their strains of the Psychobilly disease.
