The only baptism we need is of the Holy Spirit. Faith in the Finished work of the Cross + Nothing= Saved. When someone says that we have to be water baptized for our salvation, that's like telling Jesus that what he did on the Cross was not enough and you cancel out your Salvation. Faith in the Finished work of the Cross is all we need. :)

You are correct. There is no power in the water. The power comes from the name of Jesus that is invoked over the baptismal candidate. See Acts Chapters 2,4,8,10,19,and 22. There is power in the name of Jesus. Please obey Acts 2:38.

I believe there is a lot of power in being baptised. God says on earth we will be baptised in water, it is important christian tradition for rebirth. But the message we are saved by the blood is beautiful. Because being baptised does not save someone, faith in the blood does.Happy sabbath
