Are they performing for the cast of Fame? Such a weird clip. This should only be sung in a darkened club, preferably surrounded by a cloud of smoke from a clove cigarette. Long live The Furs.

To the eight people who thumbed this down: I will find you. You can hide in the deepest cave in the earth, and I will still find you, and you will pay dearly for your insolence.

This doesn't seem real. Like something out of a dream.

Imo one of the coolest bands ever. Indication of how cool is the fact that the sax player still rocks and doesn't sound naff; not many bands nowadays would use sax, not since Kenny G shredded its reputation and street cred. - In terms of their own street cred as a punk/new wave band I'm not sure the move to America did them much good in the long term; they seemed to lose their hardcore fans around the time of LOVE MY WAY (great album) and the trade-off was a huge but fickle American fan base of FM College radio listeners. The flirtation with disco/dance music probably didn't help. Anyway, something went terribly wrong later in their career: too much nose candy? Dunno. Shame.

I love how he taps his ear to say that he can't hear the song in the monitor and then walks away from the mike when he's supposed to be lip synching.

Johnny you hit the nail right on the head with your comment. It was hard to find such great music like this back in the day. The radio ignored this stuff and played nothing but crap. I grew up in the midwest and there were very few independent record stores around. Back then there was no Internet. I discovered new bands by reading up on them in Spin or Rolling Stone magazines.

Trust me. Lived thru that era. Us "cool" ones were so much in the minority. Things sucked overall. None of this sort of great music was on the radio at least in North America. You had to dig to find the Furs, Bunnymen, Cure, etc. It's not like we "had it made" fighting an uphill battle vs. the metalheads and total pablum on the pop charts.
