I think "Should God Forget? should have been the lead single from it or even "I don't Mine

I don't know why people hated Book Of Days and World Outside so much, Book Of Days is my favorite album they ever did, I love how dreary and world worn it is, Shine really doesn't sound like the rest of the album, I wish they'd put on their song The Watchtower instead of Shine, though I do like Shine I think The Watchtower would have fit the tone of the album better, not sure why it didn't make the album

I was only kidding. :) But really, I do wonder how many of those returns were maybe new fans who were first getting into them and expected something else. You'd know better than me, of course, in your experience at the record store. It's just hard for me to imagine a long-time fan not really liking this song. I've always loved it myself.

Charles- Shine was never released as a single. House was the first and only single to be rleased as a single in the uk. there was tlak of Shine being a single - and there may have been demos sent out to shops..but officially , as fas as i know, it never got released.

I think it was a mistake to make "Shine" the lead single off of this album. "House" was much better. Fans just did not dig this when it first came out. I worked at Tower Records at the time and we had to return a ton of these CDs. It's not a bad song, just not nearly as good as "House" or even "Torch."

Just saw the Furs last night in Bethlehem Pa. Two solid hours of great music. These guys never disappoint. The 80's live on.

Just found this. Great fan-made presentation. Beautiful natural visuals mixed with the band and the effects. Love the sepia tone. I also love that the maker put in that moment in the Furs Live DVD when Ashton gets totally into his solo on "Dumbwaiters" - It's an awesome moment, and seeing it here adds to the majesty of the total package.. Good stuff. Would love a new Furs disc mixing the intensity of the first disc, the groove of "TTT" and the obliqueness of "BOD".
