"elPajolero6 months ago (in reply to shmkr505): I felt the same way until I discovered American Football about two years ago. "I expected this to be a rip on emo music ... "Since I started watching the NFL, I have no time for emo anymore" :-) (Shows you how little I know about music.)

Davey von Bohlen was in Cap'n Jazz with Tim Kinsella, who was in The Sky Corvair with Bob Nanna. EMOCEST!

I felt the same way until I discovered American Football about two years ago. Needless to say, that album not only changed my attitude towards emo music dramatically and sparked my interest for the genre but later became one of my most loved records ever. Half of my favorite bands these days can be classified as emo in one way or the other so, yeah.

I used to be prejudiced against Emo music. Not anymore, this is awesome.
