I missed this band back in the day...hmmm, weird...would have thought I would have heard of one single...good band. Let's see, The Knack at this time had all the radio play until their second LP tanked...first was epic. The Producers remind me of The Babys...excellent band that never got their due.

A shame a lot of people didn't get to know about this band. They were way better than a lot bands that made it big, but sometimes you need luck more than talent.

Link below is their Facebook Page. The members post often. They played two gigs a couple of weeks ago in WI. Hopefully they'll play in the south soon. Everyone of their concerts (I probably saw them 15 times) were great. Everyone had a fun time! facebook dot com/theproducerspage

Always loved Wayne Famous' antics. This is truly that greatest pop band the Ever was. Incredible melodies and just fun music. Love still listening to them.

I'm just trying to imagine how heavy that full sized synth was that Wayne's dancing around with. I'm sure he's thanking modern technology for lightweight equipment when/if he does that today!

The musicianship in the band was always way above other bands of the time.

I still cant figure out why this band never made it to mega status. They were awesone!!! One of the lost GREAT POWER POP bands of the 80's. NO ONE sounded like them. Like Thin Lizzy, Big Star, Enough Znuff, EVERYONE loved them, must have been some label problems. My favorite band from the 80's.

@dkcocopun These guys are on stage without loops and prerecorded tracks and pitch correction that bands today can't seem to live without.... Great band.

they were "the greatest pop band that never was!" we saw them play about 10 times in the early to mid 80's. San Antonio, Austin, San Marcos, College Station, Houston. they never got their due! what a pity!
