LYRICS: "Lose The Reason"

What will we do come tomorrow?

It will happen anyway

Still some time that we could borrow

Not enough to last a day

So this fire is growing dimmer

So this flame is growing small

Sift the ashes find a glimmer

Nothing glowing here at all

How did we lose the reason

Where has it gone?

What happened to the season in the sun?

How did we lose the reason

Where has it gone?

What happened to the season?

In the sun

In the sun

In the sun

What will we do come tomorrow?

It will happen anyway

No more hopes or dreams to follow

Nothing left just walk away

So this fire is growing dimmer

So this flame is growing small

Sift the ashes find a glimmer

Nothing glowing here at all

How did we lose the reason

Where has it gone?

What happened to the season in the sun?

How did we lose the reason

Where has it gone?

What happened to the season

In the sun

In the sun

In the sun

Hmm. They needed a 5th guy to play keyboard. ... John Paul Jones plays keyboard while providing bass... just sayin... ;)... but then, John Paul Jones can start a fire using only dental floss and water.

Fabulous track from a brilliant album The Primitives back to their brilliant best.

Paul Court is a criminally underappreciated power-pop genius. Seriously.

Best new song from any band in ages. Just so good. Playing it a lot. Just so ruddy catchy!!!! Top night tonight at Hebden!! Live even better. Big love for that cracking song. Good sign when the best song is the newest in amongst a set of hits.

I can NOT stop listening to this song...or watching the video! Here's hoping there'll be a full album of new original Primitives material. The covers were great...but nothing compared to the songs they write...so GLORIOUS!

Complete brilliance: superb songwriting as ever. They were heroes in 1988 for being one of the first indie bands to bring decent music to the mainstream, and still are. Just listen to the covers album Echoes and Rhymes and then search out gems like 'Way Behind Me' or 'Sick of It'. Not to mention the Velvety dreams of 'Ocean Blue', 'Cold Enough to Kill' or the truly perfect 'Empathise'. A day in Primitives land is like touring The Prisoner's village on a flying guitar. You'll be in love forever.
