On this day in 1984 {March 11th} "Show Me" by the Pretenders entered Billboard's Hot Top 100 chart at position #74; and seven weeks later on April 29th, 1984 it peaked at #28 for one week...It reached #8 on Billboard's Hot Mainstream Rock Tracks chart...Was track five on quartet’s third studio album, 'Learning to Crawl', and the album reached #5 on Billboard's Top 200 Albums chart...Three other tracks from the album also made the Top 100 chart; "Back on the Chain Gang" {#5}, "Middle of the Road" {#19}, and "Thin Line Between Love and Hate" {#83}...

That was a nice performance but bittersweet as they had already lost one of the band members. Back then I had assumed the band members were all close personal friends....decades later, it turns out that Chrissie could do it simply hiring some good 'studio musicians' to go on tour with her...but I'm not sure what really happened.
