FRIDAY NIGHT SESSIONS

*FNS: The Best Music Videos, Ever*The Postal Service - "We Will Become Silhouettes"*Good morning, and in case I don't see ya, good afternoon, good evening, and good night! Thanks for the flood of comments tonight. You all lift me up. Danke schön!*The show tonight pays tribute to some of the greatest music videos ever created. The only rule is that the song has to have a great video illustrating it. This is about the combination of great music + great images. Any era, any genre. Requests taken all night long.Scenes of post-apocalyptic domestic bliss and loving close-ups of 1980s appliances can't distract from the fact that Ben Gibbard makes the best frumpy suburban Dad since Chevy Chase-- the way he hands the cookie to his kid halfway through is like a 1985 Father of the Year poster. If only the video ended with him punching a moose and taking John Candy hostage. [Rob Mitchum/Pitchfork]#FNS #fridaynightsessions #thepostalservice Hosted by +Sean Cowen

Im sorry I cant figure it out. Is this like serious they are real 1960 hippies or are they putting up that front on purpose?

Humanity never ceases to amaze me when it can make light of such a dark story.

The shins should have never covered this.. Ben gibbard is a genious. His music feels classy, and sophisticated... That is the feeling I get from it. Also, owl city is good also, but nothing like the postal service. Owl city seems alot more immature and about teeny crushes. Although some of the lyrics are really good. They just can't be compared to the postal service in my opinion.

When I heard this I thought it was DC4C. Well, at least I recognized his voice and I was able to find the song

So the end up dieing in the end or surviving? I really like the concept of this song and everything along with it, if someone could summarize the song/video and its meanings in entirety I would very much appreciate it.

In the event of a nuclear explosion, just hide under your desk. That's what all the PSA's say, anyway.
