a great website about The Police.

Everyone I know is lonely

And God is so far away,

And my heart belongs to no one,

So now sometimes I pray

Please take the space between us

And fill it up some way.

Take the space between us

And fill it up some way.

Oh my God you take the biscuit

Treating me this way

Expecting me to treat you well

No matter what you say.

How can I turn the other cheek

It's black and bruised and torn

I've been waiting

Since the day that I was born.

Take the space between us

And fill it up some way.

Take the space between us

And fill it up some way.

The fat man in his garden

The thin man at his gate

My God you must be sleeping

Wake up, it's much too late.

Take the space between us

And fill it up some way.

Take the space between us

And fill it up some way.

Do I have to tell the story

Of a thousand rainy days?

Since we first met,

It's a big enough umbrella

But it's always me that ends up getting wet.

The bass in this song kind of reminds me of Chrono trigger or something

I like how this song ends with the same outro lyrics that "Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic" ended with, and then Sting used the lyrics a third time on his solo song "Seven Days".

Pain, pure and simple. He's begging for his listeners to hear it in his voice, his tone, timbre, and lyrics. He's mad at God. He's a lot of shit. He's a genius,. but they together are a force that we have never been able to quite see duplicated in musical history. The Police are what have sustained me. I feel every chord, every note of this song...he wrote it for me, I'll always believe it. Fill it up someway...

Oh.My.Gawd. He was just a bebe in that picture!! The one at the beginning where he's "the guy on the left."

From what I know about them through interviews they've given, Sting and Stewart had fights but I don't think they ever hated each other. They had musical differences for sure.

Even though they hated each other, Sting & Stewart Copeland were a great rhythm section...
