I absolutely love this song. One of The Police's best. All the parts are extremely well thought out. That guitar part is pure genius, the reggae drum part, the jumpy bass line, and on top Sting's marvellous vocals.

Sting seems to be hitting those high notes no problem, why doesn't he do that in Roxanne?

Strange they claim the song is inspired of the writings of a killer set to die the next day. This year I was walking down the street in Morgan City LA 70380 when a man in a white van called out to me as I proceeded West toward the river. His call was "Pardon me but do you know where there are any gay bars." I though how strange somebody that openly says this? Back then that could get you beat down. I told the man I heard my family talk about these things and NEW ORLEANS is where they are I never heard of a Gay bar in this area anywhere. I was 12 long hair covering my shoulders very thin nearing my final height of 6 ft. The man then said "would you like to go have a drink I have some here?" I then replied I have to be on my way my people are over there I pointed at some cowboy hats leaving a store. I did not care if they were Mexicans there were more of them than him and I knew I was safe if he thought I were with them. Later in life around 1993 I found out who that man was. It was Jeffery Dahmer. Such a strange world we live in.

Stu C. est vraiment impressionnant. Ça claque et c'est carré. Voir Animal Logic, avec Stanley Clarke, pas trop mauvais non plus à la basse.
