The Plimsouls song "Zero Hour" from the 1980 debut album / EP, This song is one of 5 songs on that album. All these songs are rare, clean and good. Love their sound. My record was barely played, so its mixed loud and clear, enjoy. Yes this original sounds an RPM slower but thats how it was recorded. There is a single radio version thats slightly faster on youtube if you find it. Nothing wrong with my turntable lol.

Dave waa so hot. This is one of the best albums of this genre. And an all time fave of mine... Sneaking into shows at a place that was soon to be no more. The Starwood. So long ago. Yikes

This sounds great! I have the vinyl record also and saw them live a few times. I miss the (Los Angeles) 80's!

I remember KMET playing this too. Definitely not as often (or as long) as KROQ, but they played it, back in the day.

Then my mental health is assured, because I know them both well. I know the Plimsouls because The Flamin Groovies covered their song A Million Miles Away. If you like talking and listening to music sign up to Thisismyjam - com, I spend a lot of time there. Do you know Palma Violets? I like them a lot.

In LA, Rodney on KROQ, was about the only DJ playing it. that was when the station used to be "good". loved it when Flo and Eddie, had a show on there. there was a classic show with Marc Bolen that I have on cassette. Marc cusses up a storm. which, I think, lead to their license being pulled. how punk is that!!!

love that song Yellow Pills. haven't 20/20 reformed along with the Three O'clock? Check out Burger Records, for new and old POP, if you haven't already...

The 1980 EP version is different (and perhaps sounds "slower") than the re-recorded 1981 "studio" version. Both tracks are available on the Rhino CD re-release of The Plimsouls... Plus. fyi.

Had the chance to see them many times at the Whiskey and the Starwood. I remember one time Huey Lewis was in the audience just (before he became famous) singing along.
