me, like every other male teenager or 20-something that watched Valley Girl in 1983, had a mad, mad crush on Deborah Foreman. she was ridiculously hot in that film. especially the bikini scenes at the beach.  :)i was surprised she never made it big as an actress, following her huge success in her debut film of Valley Girl.but reports are her & her agent made multiple bad choices for roles & movies, in the first few years following Valley Girl, when she still had the fame & appeal. then, after those flops, her star power was gone & she was reduced to doing several low-budget horror flicks, which further tarnished her career & Hollywood studio appeal. and she just never had another hit movie, or made it big as a major actress.but at least she never let that lack of Hollywood success, turn her into a psychotic, or mental meltdown , or drug addict, etc.  she seems to be a very stable, sincere, & nice person to this day.

a bit of movie trivia here...the mall scenes in this 1983 Valley Girl movie, were filmed at Del Amo Fashion Center, (Torrance, CA) one of the largest malls in the United States.Del Amo mall was also the mall used for many scenes in the 1997 movie, Jackie Brown.and it was also the mall used for many scenes in the 2003 movie, Bad Santa.
