Okay my second grade teacher played this for us on cassette tape the original and I was obsessed. Then this movie came out so my mom bought me the dvd. They were a great pair. I just feel like the director didn't utilize this song well. The lyrics carry such sensuality and magnetism yet none of that was displayed during this scene. There were wasted shots of the scenery, the actors didn't even touch, there were no course ups of the 2 gazing at each other, though the song was supposed to amplify the chemistry between them and the spell of dark curiosity they have on each other. They didn't even show her singing the insane high note at the end of the song! Which in my opinion robs it of its impact.6 years ago

The voices and production value are fine, it's the music which is terrible. Of all the wonderful sounds an organ can make, they go with irritating scales up and down and up and down. Ridiculous lyrics; "The Phantom of the Opera is there...inside my mind..." Inside your mind? He's literally right there in front of you. Lastly, the terribly outdated drum machine backup track, which probably sounded amazing in 1986, but sounds like a casio keyboard demo today.6 years ago
