Digging up this nice minuet, Sarah Vaughan taught us Bach's greatness. Then, "The peanuts " whom Japan was very proud followed it. When we carefully listen to their performance, we would become to admire and to love their accurate and charming vocal harmony. I can even find out something like typical baroque counterpoint. Therefore, she gave tremendous additional value into this lovable minuet. I'd like to declare that "The peanuts" was the nicest female duet in Japan. And transmit them to the world by internet. This is one of Japanese peaceful nationalism.

I've always loved this song and this is the best version of it I've heard yet. The Toys' version is the lead singer sounds like she's got a serious adenoidal infection and honestly these singers have better diction.

I could be wrong but were these the two twins from Japan that would copy pop English spoken songs but couldn't speak a word of English. I remember that happening on Ed Sullivan's show and swear it was these girls?!?

When I was in Japan, long ago, I was a fervent admirer of the Peanuts, but I never heard them sing this beautiful song which is one of my favorites in my lifetime

I think my very favorite part is when the two Itos suddenly turn into the Swingle Singers around the 2:10 mark. They are incredible singers and the kind of jazz-meets-Bach scat singing they do in the background there is very, very difficult.

Well, this is good, but that accent kind of makes me think of badly dubbed Japanese films and other songs. (like "You Can't Hully Rub" by "Shuprimshu")

I wonder how many of those who ridicule the singers' accents could sing in Japanese, with flawless Japanese accents?

I love the dainty soprano voices and pleasant tenor - so right for this delicate love song. I'm adding this to my favourites.
