The Paul Butterfield Blues Band - Goin' Down Slow video free download

These recordings are from 1964 and were to be on the first Paul Butterfield Band album. They were scrapped for some reason and their first album was recorded soon afterward. This is Butterfield's version of Jimmy Oden's, "Goin' Down Slow", from 'The Paul Butterfield Blues Band: The Original Lost Elektra Sessions" which was recorded in 1964 and was released in 1995. (The recordings were in a vault for the 30 years in between.) Enjoy!

* Mark Naftalin -- keyboards. Mark Naftalin had not joined the group yet when this album was recorded. I named him since he is so linked with the group.

@screwmaster404 I tend to like raw & primitive so I enjoy this.(less produced, I guess I should say.) I saw him, (with his In My Own Dream lineup!), Steve Miller before becoming so commercial, Grand Funk on their release tour, album wasn't even out yet, & the original James Gang...they did Bolero...for free in an all day all night concert in a Cincy Park. It blocked traffic all day. Huge turnout. Much more than expected. I think Staple Singers & lots more there also. Best concert ever! Moppet13 years ago
