Similar to the Monkees, this was a TV family, not a real family, about a musical group. They were in fact only actors! But we all know, that it was a great show and we can watch and listen to them all over again with the same joy we had "all those years ago" . I'm actually looking forward to getting Alzheimer's and watching them all over for the "first time". I'm not sure how I'll react to Susan Dey the second time around.......I'm still in love with MARCIA BRADY ! LOL

Jefgg, little known fact: By the second season of the series, Bonaduce was already three inches taller than Cassidy and it was only camera tricks like the oversized bass (eight feet long!) and forced perspective (he's actually twenty feet behind Susan Dey at 1:47) that concealed the fact that Danny was virtually a titan. "...and That's Hollywood!"

Some of the studio muscians that performed Partrifge music were part a group called The Wrecking Crew. They were studio muscians that many songs for Phil Spector and hundreds of hits for other groups back in the 1960s. Also as for the background singers , they were a professional studio singers and were a group back in the late 60s but did'nt become too successfull .

I forgot their names but they released a CD a few years back of their best stuff from their albums back in the late 60s. I have the CD , Very Sunshine pop harmonies. Google eveything to get more indo on what I'm talking about
