If you listen to both album's debut records....nothing alike. BJM have never distorted a guitar as far as i'm aware, it's clean, acoustic rock. Dandys are a lot more experimental with guitar sounds

how can they sound anything different when matt was the 2nd largest contributor in terms of performing, (guitar, bass, vocals, some percussion) and also wrote a lot of big BJM songs. I'm glad it sounds like BJM, but it's more focused on Matt's style. Love it. If you want some Matt Hollywood that DOESNT sound like BJM, check out Rebel Drones. That last bit wasn't aimed at you mate, i'm on your side haha

@muninmatt How is this a ripoff? Matt Hollywood was in BJM, therefore that's apart of his sound too! He had his hand in projects that define the BJM sound.
