This is one of those videos that doesn't appear dated at all and yet you can only tell it's dated by the glasses and maybe some the clothes. Point is, this video could have been filmed today from how it looks. And maybe that was the unintentional point (or not). Bluegrass has a tendency to stand the test of time because people have been doing stripped down sounding songs since the days before Nashville was Nashville. I first heard this song about a decade and I've listened to it on and off ever since. And it still sounds as relevant to me as it did then. The video matches the tune perfectly. We may live in a time where the technology has changed but its still four or five people playing the same instruments as they did 50 and 30 and 10 years ago.

I was working in an office in the middle of the city feeling like crap. One lunch hour I wandered over to the record shop (vinyl back in those days) and said, "hi, I'm bit pissed off, do you have anything interesting". She said, "I've got just the thing for you". I've loved these guys ever since.

I used to hear these guys on the radio as a young lad in the 1980s. I definitely remember "Can't Stop My Heart"; while listening to the vid for that song, I saw this one in the sidebar & clicked on it. Now I remember this one from my youth as well. Anyway, thanks for bringing back the memories! :)

They hit #10 in Billboard, 12-27-86. Who's singin' the high harmony part? Is it Jamie O'Hara, or Kieran Kane? Somebody let me know. Thanx, for your efforts!

THIS SORT OF MUSIC,  IS AS ATYPICAL-AMERICAN  AS 'JAZZ',   IT SPEAKS TO DIFFERENT PEOPLE IN DIFFERENT PLACES, AND IS   REALLY GOOD 'BOP-ALONG' ' STUFF.
