Soulful sound but it dawned on me as I listened to it that however cool it may have seemed to label the West as a form of Babylon the original Hebrew captivity had to be lived out under Babylonian rule until the times reached their fulfilment, there was nothing anyone could do about it. Whilst we're on the subject it might be useful to reflect on the rebuilding of Israel over the last 60+ years and note the wave of opposition to it even to this day. Joshua and the people originally crossed the Jordan River to take the land after their exit from Egypt and the wilderness ie they fought for the land for the first time which isn't the same as their return from exile in Babylon after which they had to rebuild what their forefathers had lost. Are people fighting for something that is new or rebuilding something that they'd lost?
