Well, it's just that melodic atmosphere blows technicality out of the water every time. The Contortionist is the only "syncopated" band I can stand because their insane levels of melody make up for any potential dryness in their more rhythmic segments.12 years ago

god damn Jon is one hell of a drummer. The only mathmetal drummer i can say beats him is Dillenger Escape Plan's drummer (his name escapes me at the moment). His moeller grip is superb. but both bands are amazing. too bad TN12LLY isn't around anymore :c12 years ago

The vocals are a bit harsher than traditional mathmetal bands. Especially since they are so consistent in the song, but i agree. Don't disregard the talent of a band because you don't like the vocals.12 years ago
