I've never listened to Biggie, feels quite right that this was the first for me.It appears I've been missing out. Old school really is a beautiful thing to me. The shit today is puked up sellout without a purpose. I'm sure that's said a lot, but I feel like the emergence of Rap was a disgusted hopeless retort to a gross place full of fucking hypocrite pigs from people who wanted to shout without sounding like those they hated. So they invented a whole new sound of their own. Rap really isn't my thing, so I felt I should get my understanding on it out there for whatever it's worth. Some sounds like "why me?" and others sound like "whatever man, I'm doing alright today anyway." I like that. Whatever I guess.

I actually like this version more (despite I heard it after the original) because the happines of the sample contrasts too much with the dark feel of the song
