song of the day 29-05-2015: Eat your cake indeed. Leave your home, no. I never called that home, and that was not my name. Here is home, and i'm not leaving. Now my name is something of a wordless nod.

"All the very best of us string ourselves up for love."on repeat, in my head, on the way to asking a girl at work out, in the middle of a week-long nervous breakdown, depression and anxiety influencing every choice i make, and i make a complete ass of myself and it all falls apartchrist i hate me, getting away from being a forever alone sperglord is a lot harder than i thought it would be

This song was playing when my son was born so it has a special connection with me. I'll always remind me of the moment that I laid eyes on him for the very first time.

This is one of the very few songs that can make me cry. Not because it is sad, but because it is so overwhelmingly relieving. To me, the song is about the narrator telling someone who is in immense pain, to the point where they feel like they have to leave everything behind and start again, that everything is going to be alright; and that they can go ahead and feel bad. There have already been points in my life where this song has been exactly what I needed, and I imagine there will be more in the future.

Am I the only one who gets a chill and a heart wrenching feeling at the beginning of the song?

I discovered The National on Grey's Anatomy. First england, then runaways, sorrow, and i'm finally here with this song! I'm so sure this is one of the best of this band! Give me so many feels, i can't explain! <3
