I couldn't find a good quality version of this on Youtube, or anywhere on the internet, so I decided to play good samaritan, pay $2.16 on iTunes and share it with the world. "Do Ya", written by Jeff Lynne and sung by Roy Wood, by The Move from their 1971 album Messages from the Country, though I (strongly) prefer Electric Light Orchestra's 1976 cover.

Thanks for posting. Although I like all versions, I prefer this and Todd Rundgren's Utopia version to ELO's

I like this. Thank you for the opportunity to listen to it. I prefer ELO's version though.

Thanks for spending the $2.16. You made the right choice. This version kicks arse. Raw. Ballsy. The Move at their best. ELO blew. They were musical sludge. Ghastly group. Randy Newman had them figured. I saw the Move in 1968 in the UK. Friends told me I had to see them. Until that time I thought they were a pop group. Very hard edged band.

I love Ace Frehley's version the best with ELO's a close second.

This is actually not from Message from the Country. Perhaps there are other editions of that title that have this song, but it was recorded in Dec. 1971 after Message was released in Oct 1971. It came out as a single in 1972 and the only album the Move's version was on for a long time was "Split Ends" a compilation lp released on United Artists in the US in 1972.
