Song: Run Run Run (Originally by The Velvet Underground)

Album: Heaven & Hell - A Tribute To The Velvet Underground - Volume 1

THE MOTORCYCLE BOY: In 1987 Scottish band, Meat Whiplash recruited vocalist Alex Taylor from The Shop Assistants and changed their name to THE MOTORCYCLE BOY. They signed to Rough Trade releasing one single for that label before signing to Chrysalis releasing two singles and one album for that label. From Chrysalis they moved onto Nymphaea Pink releasing another couple of singles before calling it a day in 1990. The definitive line up was Alex Taylor, Paul McDermott, Michael Kerr, Eddy Connolly and David Scott. In 1989, Alex did some vocal work with the band, RIDE, the outcome was the Motorcycle Ride Cassette, cover versions of Blondie's Union City Blue and Atomic. The cassette was originally given away free at the 22/12/89 private party, where Ride played a set of (mainly) Blondie covers with Alex. In 1993 it was reissued as a semi-official bootleg 7" on Fierce Records.

I agree. Thanks from the USA. I may be the only one on this side of the Atlantic that knows who MB is and I think it's a shame they didn't get more attention.
