Yet another great lost song from The Monkees. How many songs by these guys can we ask the question, "why wasn't this on an album"? On a side note, sounds like somewhat of a blue print for the ABBA song "The Winner Takes It All".

My brother had the Instant Replay version on an Australian compilation. That album was apparently the first release for several rare tracks. Rhino's Monkee Business included some of those songs. I never even saw the later albums until the vinyl reissues. This is a nice performance. RIP Davy.

The slower version is on "Instant Replay." The version playing here is a previously unreleased version. I liked the slower version from Instant Replay better. This is ok too. I just liked the other better.

What album is this version of this song on? I have it on vinyl which I cannot play anymore :The Monkees Instant Replay" I have the CD of "The Birds, The Bees and the Monkees" but it is not on that album. Instant replay is $109.00 on Amazon, and cannot afford that. Thank you for posting, please let me know. Thanks again.
