Ryane, you're wrong. Micky and Davy BOTH are playing. Micky played guitar before the Monkees, and Peter taught Davy to play guitar as well as drums. In fact, Davy was a better drummer than Micky. Peter stated Davy had better time.

I think they were playing guitar. You can see they're barring the same chords and they come in together after the electric guitarist does intros to the verses to add to the choral effect. It was a great clip. I've also taken lots of videos last year.

I get the vibe that Mickey and Davy weren't really playing guitar in this... Regardless, I still think people sold The Monkees short. The truth is Davy and Mickey were great vocalists, Peter was an incredible musician, and Mike was a very gifted songwriter. Those are the elements you need for a great band, and they had them. They belong in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, hands down.
